I’m an artist who works from my studio and anywhere else I travel to make paintings that explore the human connection to the mysterious. I use a variety of materials, from paint to paper collage to fabric, to capture a specific moment of wonder. Animals are prominent in my work – animals as witness, protector, guide, companion, meditation and muse.

My work is represented in a number of public collections, including the Tennessee State Museum in Nashville and the Alvin J. Fine Museum in the Congregation Emanu-El in San Francisco;  both Lebonheur and Spence and Becky Wilson Children’s Hospitals in Memphis.

I’m especially honored to have a piece on permanent view in a public library in Memphis as part of the city’s Moveable Art Collection. In 2014, the Women’s Foundation of Memphis commissioned me to create a portrait of one of their Legend award winners which hangs at Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women in Memphis.

Further afield, I’ve served as a visiting artist in the Muse Festival in Shoham, Israel (2019) and exhibited in the Jerusalem Biennale (2017). In 2021 I was commissioned to create the art for the Ark of a reform Synagogue in Shoham, Israel.

Originally from Long Island, NY, I’m a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art, Boston, and the Boston University School for the Arts.  Some 25 years ago, I moved to Memphis, where I live today with my sculptor husband and two cats. One of my great joys is teaching art to young children.
